There are some people in Wisconsin who are interested in experimenting with a variety of different things. For example, some may choose to experiment with the creation of a pipe bomb. Unfortunately, law enforcement officials claim that four men who were doing so ultimately caused an incident that resulted in a fatality. Three of the men now face a felony charge.
The incident happened on a day in late May. According to reports, four men were experimenting with a homemade “cannon.” The device is said to have consisted of a steel pipe with a plug that had been welded to the bottom.
Their first attempt to ignite the bomb was reportedly unsuccessful. However, on the second attempt, the device is said to have exploded. Unfortunately, one of the men was reportedly struck by shrapnel, resulting in his death. The deceased man’s wife is said to have filmed the attempts.
The other three men who are believed to have been involved with the incident face a felony charge of homicide by negligent handling of explosives. The loss of a life is always a tragedy. While the desire to hold someone accountable is understandable, it may be difficult to prove that the men now facing criminal charges as a result of the Wisconsin incident are guilty beyond reasonable doubt. While a family is left coping with the loss of a life, three men must now face multiple decisions that will likely have a significant impact on the rest of their lives. Because they may feel unprepared to make these decisions on their own, they may choose to seek guidance from a professional with experience with such cases.
